We are looking for a Sales Engineer with a specialization in Renewable Energy to help us meet these goals both now and into the future.

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Sales Engineer (SE) expands the sales of Campbell Scientific (CSI) products by generating new business and ensuring growth of existing customer accounts. Assesses potential application of CSI products and services and offers solutions that meet customer needs. Educates customers and communicates customer feedback for future product development. Uses technical knowledge of CSI products and services to support and build sales.

  • Actively grow CSI sales revenue with our Renewable Energy clients.
  • Leverage background and contacts within the industry to develop business and match our solutions to customer needs.
  • Manage key customer accounts.
  • Respond to and follow up on requests for quotes and product information, and provide education opportunities for customers on CSI products.
  • Configure and quote complex data acquisition systems and multi-station networked solutions in collaboration with customer needs.
  • Recruit and strengthen Value-Added Resellers (VAR) and Integrators in alignment with the renewable energy market partner strategy.
  • Help guide internal product development, marketing, and sales plans based on market needs.
  • Recognize and report on changes in the market and obtain feedback from customers to achieve and maintain competitive products and services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or Arts degree in a science, technology, engineering, business.
  • Minimum of two years experience in the solar and/or wind energy industry, or equivalent evidence of aptitude and interest in solar and/or wind energy.
  • An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
  • Someone who is aligned with our ARCTIC Values (Accountable, Respectful, Client-Centric, Team-Oriented, Innovative, Continually Improving)
  • Someone who places importance on working hard, having fun, and building great relationships with their peers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in the use of computers, office specific software (Microsoft Suite).
  • Experience with solar and/or wind energy resource assessment or operational monitoring projects, preferred.
  • Familiarity with common renewable energy instrumentation (pyranometers, anemometers, etc.), preferred.
  • Experience with electronic remote automated measurements systems, sensors, and peripherals, preferred.
  • Use and familiarity with telecommunications equipment, preferred.
  • Familiarity with computer programming concepts and basic electrical circuits, preferred.
  • Experience with Campbell Scientific dataloggers and/or other measurement devices including RTU, PLCs, etc., preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 lbs. walking up and down stairs; sitting or standing for extended periods of time; extended walking while in the field.

Work Environment

This is primarily an office environment, with travel up to 20 - 25% on customer visits. Accommodation for remote work is possible.
