Mix Talent is seeking to hire an R&D Engineer for the clinical innovation department. The ideal candidate will have technical skills in mechanical, electrical, software, and R&D engineering solutions, and work on new projects from concept to commercialization. Responsibilities include designing, prototyping, and optimizing bio-wearable devices for outside clinic use and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance and usability.
Essential responsibilities include:

• Provide technical expertise in developing self-administered bio-wearables like EEG hardware, focusing on usability and reliability.
• Collaborate across functions to develop performance metrics and benchmarks.
• Troubleshoot and debug system performance issues.
• Contribute to prototype testing and problem-solving within R&D projects.
• Stay updated with the latest R&D technology and neurocognitive research.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced startup environment..

Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (biomedical or electrical), Neuroscience, computer science, or related field.
• 2 years of experience in neurotech (industry or graduate research experience)
• Proven experience in hardware design for measuring physiological signals like EEG, preferably in a consumer electronics or healthcare setting.
• Strong proficiency in circuit designs utilizing analog-to-digital converters (ADC)

LOCATION Onsite, Los Altos, California Office-Based.
Based on the primary location, the expected salary range for this position is $110,000 to 115,000 USD annually. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for the benefits.
