Aloro Pet Hospital is looking for a Medical Director to join our Veterinary team! Aloro Pet Hospital is a spacious facility that contains contemporary new lab equipment including full body and dental digital radiography and dedicated surgical suites. We are a family run clinic that has had a strong presence in the San Fernando Valley for over 20 years. Our team of trained support staff provides a bond-centered environment that is collaborative, exciting, and professionally challenging while keeping the service to our clients and their pets at the center of our focus.
We are seeking a Medical Director who is enthusiastic and confident with leading and mentoring a hospital while providing champion veterinary skills.Living in Valley Village, CAValley Village is located in the San Fernando Valley, just north of Hollywood. We are a walkable neighborhood and nearby have Studio City, Toluca Lake, and Sherman Oaks. Close to Warner Brothers Studio, it is a hub for those in the film industry. Valley Village has wonderful outdoor cafes, boutique shops and was once home to Marilyn Monroe!

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:
  • Works with Associate DVMs, Hospital Manager and clinical teammates to ensure best clinical practices and high-quality medical care are being provided at the hospital
  • Fosters a positive, healthy hospital culture, both through leading by example and by guiding the team through active feedback and managed accountability
  • Supports excellence in client experience, working with DVMs and Practice Manager to address issues and promote training as needed
  • Works collaboratively with HM and Regional Operations Director to proactively identify opportunities for growth and improvement of the hospital as well as clinical training for team
COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE:
  • Valid and in good standing licensed veterinarian within the state of California
  • Requisite clinical privileges and DEA license
  • 3-5 years of clinical experience
  • Prior Medical Director experience, preferred
  • Strong clinical skills and sound medical judgment
  • Ability and desire to mentor and develop Associate DVM clinical skills, preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent time-management and delegation abilities
  • Exercises sound judgment and demonstrates exemplary decision-making skills
  • Professionalism and courtesy in all interactions with others
