Job Description:

• Analyzes, develops, and implements long-term spend management strategies within a given commodity to ensure sourcing efforts meet business goals and objectives.
• Manages activities including supplier assessments and rationalization, negotiations for best total cost of ownership, make vs. buy analyses, vendor managed inventories, inventory reduction programs, cycle time improvements, security of supply, supplier diversity, continuous improvement, commodity road maps, and procurement/stakeholder collaboration.
• Research and benchmarks current commodity market conditions/trends, developing technologies, supply chain capacity/capability, product knowledge, customer requirements and supply/demand challenges.
• Guides the selection, development, and management of strategic suppliers to meet commodity cost and performance goals.
• Establishes a strong network and fosters collaboration with customers, suppliers, key stakeholders, and category team members.
• May lead negotiation and completion of contracts with global strategic and preferred suppliers to maximize benefits.
• Implements rigorous and disciplined processes for managing the supply base including leading periodic business reviews, monitoring, and managing supplier performance (quality, cost, delivery, technology, service, and leadership), managing supplier relationships, performing root cause analysis and resolution, developing and monitoring supplier improvement plans.
• Identifies year over year productivity opportunities as well as material, service, and operational improvements and establishes strategic direction.

Education:

• Requires practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of prior related experience.

Qualifications:

• 5 years Electronics Category Management knowledge or experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business or other related field preferred, equivalent experience considered.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven capability to solve technical problems.
• Able to work independently, prioritizing work to meet objectives and expectations accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to represent the organization as a prime contact on supplier projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
• Material Requirement Planning (MRP) experience required, preferably with SAP.
