We are accepting applications for a full-time maintenance technician position at a local resort. This position includes daily maintenance of resort units, common areas and grounds, as well as seasonal maintenance in all areas. A successful candidate must be able to maintain a professional work environment, with both our guests and with coworkers including maintaining a courteous and helpful attitude. To be considered, you must be an excellent team player, while being able to prioritize and work efficiently without supervision. Required skills for all applicants include: advanced problem solving/troubleshooting skills, experience working with both hand and power tools, an eye for detail and good communication skills and you must be reliable. If chosen to join our team as a Maintenance Technician, you will be performing general maintenance duties including but not limited to basic repair work, painting, maintenance of fixtures, appliance installation and removal, assisting with unit renovations, general landscaping/grounds keeping duties, managing small to medium sized projects, respond to guest service requests in an efficient and courteous manner and assist housekeeping and front desk as needed. The ability to stay on task and complete work in a timely fashion is a must. It is a physical job, and you should be able to be on your feet for extended periods, climb ladders, kneel, stoop, crawl, reach or lift 15 lbs regularly, and occasionally lift or move up to 75 lbs. The resort is open 365 days a year, so to be considered, you must be reliable and available weekends, holidays and in any weather conditions. This position is for 40 hours a week on a set schedule that provides for every other weekend off. Being on call for resort emergencies is also part of this position. Preference will be given to those who have previous experience doing maintenance in a hospitality setting.
