Title: Director of Sales - Truckload Services (Remote)

Job Description: As the Director of Sales, you will be a key player in our sales team, responsible for generating leads, expanding our existing accounts, and securing new accounts. This remote role requires strategic acumen, a proactive attitude, and a strong background in truckload sales, particularly in temperature-controlled freight.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies for lead generation, sales pitches, and closing deals.
- Manage and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and exploring opportunities for expansion.
- Actively pursue new business opportunities to expand our client base.
- Represent WLA Trucking at trade shows and industry events to network and promote our services.
- Participate in and potentially lead initiatives in marketing, including social media strategy and content development.
- Travel as needed to meet with clients and secure new contracts.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in truckload sales, with a preference for those experienced in temperature-controlled logistics.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with a proactive and self-driven approach to tasks.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and trade shows.
- Located in NC, SC, VA, W.VA, or TN, or willing to relocate.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or related field preferred.
