Title: Director of Sales - Truckload Services (Remote)

Location: Preferred candidates in NC, SC, VA, W.VA, or TN

As we continue to expand, we are looking for a dynamic Director of Sales to join our team and drive our business forward.

Job Description: As the Director of Sales, you will be a key player in our sales team, responsible for generating leads, expanding our existing accounts, and securing new accounts. This remote role requires strategic acumen, a proactive attitude, and a strong background in truckload sales, particularly in temperature-controlled freight.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies for lead generation, sales pitches, and closing deals.
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and exploring opportunities for expansion.
  • Actively pursue new business opportunities to expand our client base.
  • Represent WLA Trucking at trade shows and industry events to network and promote our services.
  • Participate in and potentially lead initiatives in marketing, including social media strategy and content development.
  • Travel as needed to meet with clients and secure new contracts.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in truckload sales, with a preference for those experienced in temperature-controlled logistics.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with a proactive and self-driven approach to tasks.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and trade shows.
  • Located in NC, SC, VA, W.VA, or TN, or willing to relocate.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or related field preferred.
