Connect Search is hiring a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join our client's finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
- Perform reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Conduct variance analysis and assist in budgeting and forecasting.
- Process payroll and manage employee expense reports.
- Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Assist with tax filings and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial data.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2 years of accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CPA or progress towards CPA certification is a plus.
