Position Summary: Responsible for the accurate maintenance of accounting records, the timely preparation of the monthly financial reports for multiple real estate properties, and to provide support to the Assistant Controllers

Essential Corporate Accounting Functions:

• Assist in preparing monthly Corporate financial statements
• Reviewing 3rd Party property financial statements and preparing consolidated fund level statements monthly
• Code invoices for entry into accounting system
• Prepare monthly journal entries
• Calculate monthly overhead allocations for shared expenses
• Assist and review budget input into the financial accounting system
• Prepare (and/or assist) quarterly financial reports
• Maintain fixed asset database
• Prepare account transfers as needed to maintain cash accounts between entities
• Record interest entries for loans, internal and external
• Ensure that balance sheet accounts are reconciled
• Review budget to actual variances and explain when amounts are unusual
• Special projects as determined by Corporate Controller

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 4 years private/public experience
• Real estate/Contracting industries a plus but not required
