Job Summary:
Do you have professional or home baking and cake decorating experience? Mother Myrick’s Confectionery in Manchester, Vermont is seeking an individual to join our team of bakers and chocolate makers producing cakes, desserts and chocolates.

We will train the applicant who has aptitude and demonstrated artistic skill to be part of our team. If you’re a professional baker/cake decorator, then expand your expertise here!

Primary responsibilities include cake decorating, baking, finishing desserts and chocolates.

Other duties involve all needed functions to ensure the smooth operation of the bakery with the rest of the team. This includes:

Maintaining up to date needed records.

Maintaining a clean and sanitary working environment.

Meet scheduled timelines for day to day, weekly & monthly production.

Assist in inventory taking, ordering & other ongoing duties.

Participate in overseeing quality & presentation of products, their shelf life, storage & rotation.

Full time, year-round. Must be over18 years of age & physically fit. Requires ability to stand for long periods of time & lift to 40 lbs. Proven dependability, cleanliness and attention to detail required. Must be available 1 weekend day.

Job Skills:

Basic math skills for recipe conversions and modifications.

Other desirable skills include working with Excel and Word.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
