Staff RN HFM Medical ICU
Location: US: WI: MANITOWOC at our FROEDTERT HOLY FAMILY MEM HOSP facility.
Work Type: Part-time.
Shift: 3rd
Job Summary:
Plans, organizes, coordinates, and provides direct nursing care for an identified group of patients according to specific standards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES:
Critical Care -- At least one year’s experience in Med/Surg is required. Prefer experience in ER, and/or CCU nursing. ACLS is required within the first year of hire. Emergency Services -- At least one year’s experience in Med/Surg is required. Would consider new graduates with Paramedic experience only. ACLS is required within the first year of hire. PALS and TNCC are preferred. Women's and Children's Center -- None required. Prefer one year of experience in Med/Surg, Pediatric, and/or OB nursing. NRP certification is required within the first year of hire. Specialty Float -- At least one year of experience in Med/Surg is required. ER &/or CCU experience preferred. Will float between CCU, ER, and PACU. ACLS is required within the first year of hire. General Float -- At least one year’s experience in Med/Surg is required. Will float between Med/Surg, Surgery Center, and Post Partum. Medical/Surgical -- None required. One year’s experience in Medical Surgical nursing is preferred. Prep & Holding/PACU -- Prefer at least two years’ experience in CCU, Cardiac Rehab, ER, or in Surgical Services nursing. ACLS is required within the first year of hire. Surgery Center/Special Procedures -- Prefer two years experience in Med/Surg and/or Ortho nursing. Ambulatory Per-Anesthesia nursing certificate and ACLS preferred. Surgical Services: Operating Room -- None required. Prefer two to three years experience in Surgical/Ortho and/or Operating Room nursing. Operating Room Nurse certificate preferred. A graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required, and a current unrestricted Wisconsin RN license is required. Excellent customer service, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent is required. Cancer Center – A minimum of 2 years of RN experience is required. Preferred experience in Med/Surg and/or Oncology is preferred. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent is required upon hire.
