Professional Placement Services is Hiring a Test Technician II Near Manor, TX

We are looking for a Test Technician 2 to join us in Austin, TX!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform the assembly, set-up, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic, electro-mechanical, and automation systems and machines to meet the production schedule
  • Functionally tests and troubleshoots semiconductor manufacturing equipment to component level.
  • Provide input and recommendations to Management and other team members on improvement opportunities based on data and observations
  • Utilizes both manual and automated tests to perform system level testing to ensure product quality and reliability in accordance with company specifications
  • Works cooperatively on project work team; documents and communicates actions, irregularities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent communications skills and computer literacy is essential
  • Must have a sense of urgency and the ability to stay on schedule
  • Must have the ability to work well with coworkers
  • Ability to work 2nd shift or Weekend shift
  • Punctual, dependable, and the ability to work extended shifts and/or weekend shifts with short notice
  • Extensive knowledge of trouble shooting skills, quality, and process orientation
  • Good understanding of test fixtures and equipment

Educational/Certification Requirement:

  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelors in Electronics or Electro-Mechanical Automation or equivalent work experience.

Work Experience:

  • 2-4 years’ experience in a Manufacturing Test Environment with general knowledge of Vacuum & Pneumatic technologies.

  • Ability to Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move object.
  • Ability to move arms, hands and fingers.
  • Required to have visual acuity to perform assigned tasks.

Environmental Exposure:

  • Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, and exposure to chemicals.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment.
