Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting district computer systems, including management of workstations, notebooks and mobile computing devices.
- Responsible for configuring and maintaining devices utilizing Windows, Chrome OS, Android and other operating systems.
- Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs District-networked computer systems hardware.
- Installs, maintains and troubleshoots District-purchased mobile devices.
- Installs, maintains and troubleshoots District computer operating systems and applications.
- Installs, maintains and troubleshoots District computing peripheral devices.
- Facilitates the exchange, return, or repair of malfunctioning mobile devices.
- Participates in the annual deployment and collection of student mobile devices.
- Assists with managing inventory of workstations, notebooks, and mobile computing devices.
- Provides high-level technical support to District computer system users.
- Tests software for compatibility and system integrity within District’s data network.
- Installs and troubleshoots VoIP-based phones.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
- Familiarity with Google Admin Console and Active Directory.
- Demonstrate general proficiency in computers, computer software, networks, and mobile devices.
- Ability to operate computer diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
- Ability to work cooperatively and courteously with staff, students and parents.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Federal and State laws, district procedures and Board policies.
- Produce accurate work and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 years previous experience installing and repairing computers and operating systems
- Valid AZ driver’s license
- Any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that meets minimum requirements
WORK ENVIRONMENTIndoor office or classroom environment. The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet to moderate and may become excessively noisy at times. The incumbent will have contact with staff, students and the public.
