LAKESHORE PHOTOGRAPHY is Hiring a Freelance Photographer (School Portraits) Near Marquette, MI
School Portrait Freelance Photographers needed in the Upper Peninsula.
Qualifications:
- Live/home base in Marquette, Michigan or other general area
- Valid driver’s license with reliable insured vehicle
- Willingness to travel 25-125 miles (up to approximately 2 hours one way)
- Experience with DSLR camera/lenses/lighting
- Experience and comfort working with children of varying ages
- Professional appearance and communication
- Ability to lift/carry, setup and operate professional photography equipment
- Ability to stand for several hours while photographing and manage a fast-paced timeline
- Excellent time management and the ability to work autonomously
Responsibilities:
- Complete our in-house training program in Marquette, MI
- Arrive to photo locations reliably and on time (early mornings required)
- Communicate effectively with team members as well as school administration, staff, and students of varying ages
- Confidently provide verbal posing instruction, guidance, and general grooming assistance to portrait subjects
- Maintain a positive, professional, energetic attitude
- Photograph quality portraits of school students and staff using company provided equipment (Nikon)
Compensation:
- $25.00 per hour (travel to/from assignment location is included in hourly compensation)
This position is seasonal beginning late August and requires full to part-time hours for the months of September/October with hours beginning to decrease November/December. No weekends required. An occasional overnight may be requested based upon assignment location in which a daily stipend would be provided.
