Legrand has an exciting opportunity for Machine Operators - 3rd Shift to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Team in Mascoutah, IL. Operators are responsible for set-up, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Straightening, Cutting, Brake Press and Chamfering machine.

3rd Shift Hours: 9:30 PM - 6:00 AM CDT

What Will You Do?

• Machine operators are charged with the safe and efficient use of the manufacturing line and the equipment used on the line.
• Prepare the machine for operation by equipping it with the appropriate tools and making sure those tools are in good working condition.
• Run and monitor the machine while it is operating.
• Inspect machines periodically throughout the shift and make necessary adjustments.
• Complete quality checks and adjustments.
• Perform Operator Basic Care and maintenance on machines.
• Operate machine change over by selecting, installing, and adjusting equipment to meet production requirement.
• Follow TPM program.
• Operates electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Operates forklift to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Performs all work in a safety conscious manner. Always aware of dangers and taking all appropriate counter measures to protect yourself and others around you.
• Responsible for maintaining and managing tools within assigned work area.
• Responsible to maintain a clean and safe work area consistent with the Company’s housekeeping policies.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Able to perform repetitive job functions; hand mobility, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
• Able to stand for at least 8 hours per day.
• Basic Computer knowledge.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three years of experience with mechanical equipment & general manufacturing experience.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Experience in use of measuring gauges.
