Dr Korthals and Associates is Hiring an Optometric Assistant Near Mason, IA
Qualifications:
We are an Optometric practice looking to hire 2 Optometric Assistants. Responsibilities would include pre-testing and rooming patients, helping with frame selections, dispensing and adjusting glasses. We have a very busy office and require someone that can multitask. Applicants must have a positive and friendly demeanor and like working with people of all ages. We are open Monday through Thursday 8 to 6. Experience would be preferable, but training is available to the right applicant. Starting wages would depend on experience.
Qualifications:
- Optometry, medical office experience, and knowledge of medical terminology, and anatomy of the eye are preferred. Skills such as patient care, familiarity with HIPAA regulations, intake procedures and optical experience are highly valued.
- Proficiency in EMR systems, as well as experience in retail sales, front desk operations, retail math, medical records management, sales are relevant skills that would be beneficial for this position.
