What to expect as a Phlebotomist at PathGroup:
Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens from patients
- Label and properly store collected specimens for laboratory testing
- Follow established laboratory procedures and protocols
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and test results
- Ensure proper disposal of biohazardous materials
- Adhere to safety and infection control policies and procedures
- Assist with other laboratory tasks as needed
Skills:
- Proficient in laboratory techniques and procedures related to phlebotomy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate specimen collection and labeling
- Ability to follow established protocols and maintain confidentiality
