Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Staff Perfusionist based in McHenry, IL. As a Staff Perfusionist at PSI, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining extracorporeal circulation equipment during surgical procedures and ensuring safe and efficient perfusion. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide critical support during cardiovascular and respiratory therapy treatments. Your expertise in perfusion techniques and patient monitoring will contribute to the success of our partner hospitals.

Hospital Description

Located in McHenry, Illinois. Single surgeon, mainly CABG, valves, TAVRs. No ECMO or VAD. Account will be staffed with 3 FTE CCPs, 1 Perfusionist Assistant, and a regional pool of locums Perfusionists. 1 in 3 call ratios. 45 min response time.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Perfusion Program
• Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) or eligible for certification
• Strong knowledge of extracorporeal circulation equipment and perfusion techniques
• Experience in cardiovascular and respiratory therapy treatments
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
• Adherence to professional ethics and standards
• Current CPR and BLS certification
• Willingness to participate in continuing education and professional development
