Henry Schein is Hiring a Junior Financial Analyst Near Melville, NY

JOB OVERVIEW:
This individual will be involved with the sales reporting and consolidation and analysis for Healthcare Specialties Group. Provide financial support through the creation and analysis of financial data. This position necessitates the ability to work independently as well as with a team and possess the ability to successfully manage several assignments simultaneously.
Responsibilities include analyzing and reviewing data to ensure completeness and accuracy and reasonable trending. Position is responsible for updating the Daily Sales Reporting, assisting with forecasting template preparation as well as reviewing and compiling monthly reporting submissions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare
Create and monitor financial results:
  • Work with the Sr Financial Analysts and Manager of Finance to assist with sales financial reporting and planning within the Healthcare Specialties Group.
  • Update and maintain monthly reports used to analyze the financial results of the portfolio.
  • Learn internal financial systems used to download/upload data and reconcile.
  • Assist in the preparation of account and trend analyses and reconciliations.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with finance team members within the portfolio as well as throughout the Henry Schein corporate organization.
Analyze & Review
Source, analyze and interpret data to report results and understand the main drivers:
  • Recognize and investigate trending anomalies and communicate to Sr Financial Analysts and Manager of Finance on a timely basis.
  • Review account and trend analyses and reconciliations and question the results.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly internal financial reports including variance analysis and commentary for sales and expenses.
  • Work on special projects.
Team member involvement can include the following areas: Forecasting, Monthly Close, and Headcount reporting.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Typically 1 to 3 years of related professional experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline.
GENERAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
  • Basic planning/organizational skills and techniques
  • Basic analysis and problem solving skills
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel vlook-ups and pivot tables.
  • Ability to work with confidential and highly sensitive information.
TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
The posted range for this position is $46,541-$81,446, which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
