What You Will DoThe Engineering Manager will be primarily responsible for leading the Pemko product development engineering team in the development and standardization of engineering processes, procedures, technical information maintenance of product categories and additionally provide operations engineering support. This position will lead and support the implementation of products and processes for existing and new product groups and operational improvement projects. Working closely with the Engineering Manager, Sustaining, this position will provide accurate and efficient access to engineering data and will assure the retention of Engineering knowledge and talent for the future.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support, standardize and lead the implementation of methods, processes, and procedures for Engineering support of New Product Development with all existing Product Groups.
- Lead incorporation of sustainability into our new product development design process
- Support, provide technical leadership subject matter expertise that supports operations related quality assurance, 8D root cause analysis, and production work instructions and assembly aids.
- Provide leadership and support of operations engineering and project activities.
- Product Benchmarking, VA/VE development and reporting, DFMEA Analysis, Project reporting, Testing and Validation, and First Article Sampling / Approval of new products and materials.
- Support Supplier / Vendor audits and review to ensure capability of products and materials
- Development and implementation of strategies to support and facilitate product gateway (NPD process), project management tools & PDM to ensure successful launch of NPD through to production on time across all product groups
- Engineering Software Coordination & Management
- CAD & Engineering software platform management
- License Compliance
- User & License Management
