We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling medical billing , collections, and reporting ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

Duties:

- Review and verify accuracy of billing data, verification of benefits and authorizations
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies, familiar with UB04 processing of claims
- Follow up on unpaid claims within the standard billing cycle timeframe
- Check each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with the contract discount
- Call insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if necessary
- Identify and bill secondary or tertiary insurance
- Review accounts for insurance of patient follow-up
- Research and appeal denied claims

- Collections: Sending patient statements and applying credits before sending them out, and following up on accounts receivable. Following up on Payor Collections within contractual periods.

-Cash Flow: Maximizing cash flow while improving customer relationships.-

- Working with other managers and administration to ensure timely billing and reporting & develop workflows and processes.

- Resolving denied claims and re-billing for reimbursement

-Tracking payments made by patients and insurance agencies for collections

Qualifications:

- Proficiency in medical billing software and systems
- Knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG coding systems
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Experience in medical collections is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20.81 - $25.07 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
