Job Title: Engineering Tech Analyst 2
Duration: 1 year – could be extended or fully direct
Location: Milford, MI 48380
Physical test Required: DOT required
Driving: Yes – driving test vehicles
Shifts: 4x10 – (2 teams) 1st and 2nd shift; Sun – Wed or Wed – Sat (2 openings for now)
5x8 - 3rd shift Mon – Fri (at least 1 opening for now), Possibly a 4th on day shift
Description: This position requires an employee to be on-site on a full-time basis.
We are seeking Emissions Technicians who will focus on EPA testing for mileage and emission standards. As an Associate Technician, you will demonstrate basic knowledge, skills, training, and learning ability that you can use in other Engineering organizations. This entry level technician position is for technicians with little or no experience that have some formal education in a core skill area. In this role you will handle basic project assignments with supervision.
Responsibilities:
· Set-up and perform emission testing on vehicles.
· Evaluate results
· Recommend corrective action
Requirements:
· Outstanding interpersonal and relationship leadership skills to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization as needed
· Emerging partnership and teamwork skills and ability to learn from and share knowledge with co-workers in a fast-paced environment
· Test operator
· Setting vehicle on test site and driving the test vehicle
· Could be one vehicle all day Or running 5 tests a day
Preferred:
· Associates degree
· 2 years in Dynamometer Testing / Lab Operations Setup
· Experience with AVL, Horiba or Burke Porter
· Understanding of Global Manufacturing System principle
