Purpose
The Tourism Marketing Manager is responsible for providing the overall tourism marketing activities for Holmes County/Ohio Amish Country. They are the single point of contact for the implementation of the Holmes County marketing strategy and all market research, advertising, promotion, and new tourism development activities. They will report directly to the Executive Director and provide reports to both the Executive Director and Tourism Council. They are also responsible for developing and managing the marketing budget for presentation to both.
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities
· Manage all Market Research, Advertising and Promotion including publications, website, communications, tourism newsletter, and social media
· Work with, and direct Marketing Agency of record
· Meet or exceed marketing performance measures.
· Develop and implement marketing strategy to effectively reach customers, communicate the value proposition of the product and influence purchase of product
· Provide monthly product updates to Executive Director or bi-monthly updates to Tourism Council.
· Manage production and sales of official Map & Visitor Guide
· Attend and/or schedule volunteers or staff to attend travel shows, conferences or events representing Holmes County/Ohio Amish Country

Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed

Minimum Qualifications
Education and/or Equivalent Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Marketing or Business Management.
· Two (2) years’ experience in destination management, marketing, or sales.
· One year of relevant experience may substitute for the required education requirements up to a maximum of four (4) years, preferably in Brand Management.
