Job Summary:

The Terminal Manager directs and oversees all operational activities to enhance performance across the facility. Responsibilities include financial oversight, productivity enhancement, quality control, human relations, safety, health, and environmental performance. This role ensures adequate resources to maintain facility operations and involves working closely with operators to ensure productivity.

Essential Functions:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities:

· Manage drivers, equipment, and shop personnel, supporting bulk transportation requirements related to facility operations.

· Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

· Oversee and maintain process safety/risk management plans for the facility.

· Communicate effectively with decision-makers over the phone daily.

· Recruit and retain personnel to sustain operational viability.

· Coordinate with procurement and logistics on inbound and outbound shipments.

· Provide support to other departments and customers as needed.

· Supervise operations and office employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, onboarding, disciplining, and terminating employees.

· Plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.

· Organize, schedule, and delegate work assignments.

· Make business decisions that increase productivity and efficiency.

· Work within approved budget and demonstrate orientation to profitability.

· Follow company policies and safety/security procedures.

· Use discretion and independent judgment.

· Ensure work responsibilities are covered during absences.

· Manage time efficiently and complete tasks promptly.

· Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Work with integrity and manage stress well under pressure.

· Treat others with respect, courtesy, and consideration.

· Accept responsibility for own actions and commit to long work hours when necessary.

· Manage difficult situations calmly and meet commitments and deadlines.

· Adapt to changes and unexpected events in the work environment.

· Identify and resolve problems using sound and accurate judgment.

· Develop alternative solutions if necessary.

· Observe safety and security procedures and determine appropriate actions beyond guidelines.

Skills and Education Requirements:

· Three to five years of related experience in regulatory compliance or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

· Ability to write reports and business correspondence.

· Effective presentation skills and the ability to respond to questions in various settings.

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

· Ability to interpret extensive technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.

· Basic computer software proficiency for accurate data entry and reporting, including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
