Job ResponsibilitiesThe Fleet Technician (So.-No Grp. #) performs the following duties:
  • Maintains, repairs, and services vehicles and equipment that are essential to other work groups to ensure that they are safe, functional, and available when needed and in accordance with DOT regulations
  • Performing troubleshooting and diagnosing current or potential vehicle and equipment malfunctions
  • Temporary or permanent repairs and component rebuilding on trucks, construction, automotive and auxiliary equipment
  • Preventative maintenance
  • Miscellaneous duties as required or assigned
Current pay range: $28.91-$48.18/hr; subject to change based on union contract (starting rate will be based on experience level).Minimum Experience Required
  • Applicant must have a minimum of two years’ experience as an automotive or truck mechanic within the past four years
  • Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and meet the company’s requirements for driving.
  • The selected applicant must obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL) within 90 days of entry into the job.
  • The applicant must comply with DOT commercial driver’s license (CDL) drug and alcohol testing requirements.
