DescriptionWe are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Credentialing Specialist in the healthcare industry, located in Mission Hills, California. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing meetings within a hospital setting and handling matters related to medical staff credentialing.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage high-volume meetings within the hospital
  • Accurately record and document meeting minutes
  • Utilize your knowledge of medical terminology in daily tasks
  • Process credentialing and re-credentialing applications of medical staff
  • Ensure all credentials files are up to date and in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Handle customer inquiries and provide appropriate solutions
  • Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when needed
  • Use your skills in meeting minutes and meeting coordination to ensure smooth operation
  • Leverage your understanding of physician credentialing in day-to-day responsibilities
  • Provide onsite support from Monday to Friday, with flexibility for occasional overtime for later meetings.
Requirements
  • Should possess strong knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Experience in Physician Credentialing is a must.
  • Proven ability in Meeting Minutes and Meeting Coordination.
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry standards and practices.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in using healthcare software and databases.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrable problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Health Administration or a related field is preferred.
