Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our office. The ideal candidate will be proficient in accounting and possess strong organizational skills to ensure smooth office functioning.
Duties:
- Manage and maintain financial records
- Handle bank reconciliations and payroll processing
- Coordinate with external accountants for tax prep
- Prepare monthly and year-end financial reports
- Process bills and pay accounts payable
- Monitor customer accounts for non-payment
- File quarterly and year end payroll reports
- Manage employee benefit plans by coordinating with external plan managers
- Manage and maintain CDL driver files
- Manage and maintain equipment/commercial truck files
- Coordinate with insurance carriers to maintain compliance
- Coordinate with external accountants for tax prep
- Order tanks and propane as needed by the field
Skills:
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in accounting practices
- Ability to handle bank reconciliations and payroll tasks
- Familiarity with double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Skill in account analysis and understanding of debits and credits
