Who we are looking for:

We are currently searching for a Maintenance Technician to be based out of Molalla, OR. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager this person's primary focus will be to maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

What you'll do:

* Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on various production machines and equipment.

* Perform general maintenance on buildings and grounds.

* Will have the ability to follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions.

* Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.

* Troubleshoot the cause of downed equipment and return it to service with a sense of urgency, while always keeping the highest level of safety in mind.

* Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hand and power tools.

* Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance requirements.

* Assist in the design and implementation of improvement of equipment.

* Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop tools and equipment.

* Awareness and willingness to maintain and assist in maximizing machine throughput while maintaining safety protocols.

* Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results; monitor stock levels of supplies and spare parts.

* Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

* Ability to work independently while making good use of time and resources while focused on team efforts.

* Willingness to work weekends or on-call if needed.

What you'll bring:

* Minimum educational requirement is high school diploma, or equivalent.

* Strong mechanical aptitude.

* 3-5 years of experience doing electrical/mechanical maintenance in an industrial/ manufacturing environment.

* Must have strong mechanical and electrical skill sets

* Mechanical skills (working knowledge of welding, fabrication, electrical plumbing)

* Electrical skills (working knowledge of panels, VFD PLCs, and troubleshooting)

* Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner.

* Experience and knowledge of Lean Daily Management principles preferred.

* Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.

* Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
