Required Criteria:

• Manage schedules of multiple providers in a busy Mental Health Office
• Work well under pressure
• Honor confidentiality (HIPAA) and maintain professionalism
• Create, maintain and enter information into Electronic Database
• Handle a high volume of incoming calls and other communications

Experience:
* Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in Customer Service (Preferred)
* Knowledge of and experience in conflict resolution techniques
* Must have good customer service skills
* Must be able to work as a team player in a positive work environment
* Must be detailed and a fast learner

* Must be able to translate for Spanish patients (Preferred)

* Knowledge of Prior Authorizations, Psychotropic medications and , Medication refill process. (Preferred)

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Behavioral Health Assistant provides support to the Behavioral Health Department offices with the daily activities of telephone coverage, initiating Prior Authorization responses per the Insurance plan's request and authorizing/clarifying refill of medication based on the medication prescribers orders, filing, appointment scheduling and patient registration for all patients of Health Service Alliance (HSA). The BH assistant also interacts respectfully with patients, their families, community partners, and vendors while representing and promoting HSA’s mission and strategic goals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
