The Outside Sales Representative (OSR) is responsible for increasing store sales by obtaining new customers and managing existing business. The ideal Sales Representative candidate will have sales and/or marketing experience, as well as a "get-it-sold" demeanor. He/she will be highly practiced at prospecting, cold-calling, and networking. The ideal candidate will also understand that sales, not prospect lists, are the desired result.
A representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position is as follows:
- Execute a consultative sales approach
- Generate new business by phone prospecting, networking, gaining referrals, and cold calling
- Achieve realistic sales quotas
- Maintain business with existing high-volume accounts
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Previous business-to-business experience preferred
- Previous service business experience desired
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong verbal/written skills, including proofreading, math, and financial analysis
