Viwinco Windows is Hiring a Quality Engineer Near Morgantown, PA

SummaryDevelop quality standards, controls, inspection procedures, corrective actions, counter measures, solutions and improvements for finished product groups along with raw materials and their production line processes to ensure that manufactured products conform to established quality standards and requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality standards, controls and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance and implement improvements to meet KPI targets.
  • Ensure product is meeting quality requirements by using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions, examining functionality and visual conformance to requirements.
  • Ensure that production lines adhere to standards and procedures complying with Quality Requirements.
  • Identify non-conforming issues and propose and implement cross-functional team solutions.
  • Propose and implement controls and collaborate with operations for Continuous Quality Improvement.
  • Identify and implement Supplier Quality corrective and improvement actions to address non-conformances.
  • Help train production associates on quality control measures and standards for Quality Excellence.
  • Maintain and ensure measurement equipment and instruments are calibrated and meet requirements.
  • Support implementation of product testing for industry certifications and to meet safety regulations.
  • Develop and improve job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training.
  • Oversee improvements in First Pass Yield Inspection Process.
  • Develop In-Process Standards for production lines utilizing First Pass Yield Data
  • Work with vendors to resolve nonconforming product issues. Supplier communications and corrective actions.
  • Utilize Warranty Data to improve end of line / in process inspection criteria and reduce warranty claims
  • Develop/Implement/Manage a Warranty Oversight Program to reduce warranty claims
  • Oversee and Lead Process Problem Solving initiatives for various departments
  • Any additional Quality duties essential to maintaining compliance with our QMS, as needed.
  • Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and documentation/reporting skills.
  • Keen attention to detail working collaboratively in a Team environment improving processes.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
  • Understand target market, consumer needs, and quality requirements.
  • Excellent project management skills.
Knowledge And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or other related Engineering field required.
  • ASQ certification preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role in a production environment.
  • Experience in continuous improvement, Lean Six Sigma, and certifications preferred.
