- Evaluate product design requirements to determine the power electronics system architecture.
- Engage in all phases of preliminary design and systems architecture, analyzing the cost implications of proposed changes, upgrades, and new implementations.
- Identify the most effective techniques, procedures, and theories for developing power electronics products and systems.
- Design various power converters utilizing advanced solid-state switching devices.
- Prepare and coordinate the release of documentation to support product design, verification, and manufacturing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on specific projects.
- Serve as the technical lead for troubleshooting field and factory issues related to the client’s power electronics products.
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in power electronics, with a minimum of 12 years of practical industry experience.
- Extensive experience with various power converters, including DC/DC converters, inverters, and rectifiers.
- Experience with 3-phase power electronics systems is highly desirable.
- Direct experience with designs using IGBT/MOSFET/SiC/GaN, gate driver design, selection, and characterization.
- Strong proficiency in creating complex schematics and PCBA layouts.
- Solid experience in power electronics controls development.
- Proficiency with tools such as Altium, Matlab/Simulink, and other relevant power electronics development tools.
- Experience with DSP and FPGA.
