Driftwood Dental Studio is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Mukilteo, WA

Overview:

Looking for a dental assistant to join our small, friendly team in Mukilteo! We have flexible hours, positive attitudes, and no drama. An ideal candidate would have at least two years of assisting experience, but also willing to train those with a bit less.

Responsibilities:

- Assist Dr. Butler with both hygiene and restorative procedures throughout the day
- Keep sterilization running smoothly
- Set up and tear down rooms efficiently
- Take diagnostic-quality radiographs; basic sets as well as panos and CBCTs (will train)
- Make temporary crowns and bridges
- Use intraoral scanner to take digital impressions and send lab cases
- Answer phones and do recalls when schedule is sparse

Experience:

The successful candidate should possess the following skills:

- Experience with dental software; we use Open Dental
- Experience in assisting basic and complex restorative procedures (small fillings versus multiple crowns in difficult-to-access areas of the mouth)
- Familiarity with dental terminology (distal, buccal, tooth numbers, procedure lingo)
- Experience with sterilization procedures; this includes ability to work independently in the sterilization area between patients
- Ability to take diagnostic radiographs
- Understanding of infection control protocols, OSHA, HIPAA

Set hours are Tuesday - Thursday 7:45 AM - 6 PM with Mondays and Saturdays available if desired. Monday or Saturday hours are NOT required for employment.

Notes:

We only have one dentist, two assistants, and a front office team member with a schedule that is streamlined for each assistant. We try to minimize the chaos that can occasionally be found at dental clinics!

PTO and Paid Sick Time begins accruing on day one and equates to about 3 weeks paid leave per year.

Compensation based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
