POSITION SUMMARY
The Training Specialist oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of training programs aimed at enhancing employee’s skills and knowledge. Ensure that all staff members understand the YOC’s philosophy, training expectations, agency policies, and general procedures comprehensively. Conducts observation, assessment, and skills competency testing, while ensuring accurate implementation within the organizational environment. Provides corrective action and reports findings for both trainees and mentors. Additionally, assists in creating internal and external training opportunities for professional development and maintains precise documentation of training materials and requirements. Cultivates professional relationships internally and externally. Strong communication and organization abilities are essential, along with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE NEEDED
Preferred associate degree from an accredited university with at least two years of experience in residential or behavioral treatment; or high school diploma and three years’ experience in residential or behavioral treatment. Requires strong assessment and assertiveness skills, and excellent verbal and written communication, as well as demonstrated leadership ability.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Typical work week is 40 hours (Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm). Position requires additional hours when necessary to complete special projects or meet specific deadlines. The Training Specialist will have regular contact with the YOC program/clinical staff members, members of office administration, and YOC direct care staff members. Courtesy and professionalism are always expected.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to demonstrate and perform all skills required for SCM training.
COMPENSATION
This position is full-time, and compensation includes a competitive hourly rate and benefits plan.
