Team Overview: LaSalle’s Assets under Management cover the full spectrum of Core to Value-Add investments. The Continental European Asset Management team (excluding France) is currently composed of 10 Asset Managers, based in 3 locations: Munich (5), Amsterdam (3) and Madrid (2). As of July 2024, Assets under Management are approximately € 3.7 billion (office, logistic, retail, residential, hotel), located in 9 different countries. The team forms part of LaSalle’s Continental European business working notably on several cross-border initiatives.

The main roles of the team are:

1/ Identifying and implementing value-add opportunities: Alternative uses, redevelopments, refurbishments, minimizing irrecoverable, building tenant relationships, tenant mix.

2/ Lease regears, renewals, rent reviews and lease contract negotiations

3/ Managing relationships with third party consultants: Managing agents (which includes monitoring rent, service charge & insurance), lawyers, project professionals.

4/ Preparing and managing sales together with the Investment Management Team.

5/ Preparing asset level business plans and budget projections.

6/ Working closely with the acquisition team to advise and validate deals, negotiations, and assumptions.

Role and Accountabilities:

The Analyst will work on asset management initiatives across several asset classes (Office, retail, logistics and residential), supporting senior AMs in their day-to-day tasks. Responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Cross-border engagement with all team members and colleagues from other departments

  • Manage leasing activities (co-ordination of leasing agents and marketing actions, lease negotiations)

  • Support of senior AM in value add and CAPEX projects

  • Monitoring of tenant data (IT based: GENIE): regular data validation and follow-up on rent collection in close cooperation with Property Manager

  • Analysis and risk assessments of tenant related data, using internal IT tool

  • Support of annual Property Insurance renewal process by collecting and aggregating data

  • Involvement in sales processes (data room preparation)

  • Supporting Sustainability and ESG activities of AM team and managing dedicated projects.

  • Organizing and implementing RFPs for all service providers

  • Implementing all compliance requirements for service providers (e.g., Agent Appointment Form, contract approval form, Due Diligence Questionnaire, KYC for tenants, etc.)

  • Development of annual property budgets and business plans

  • Maintaining and updating the documentation on each asset (transfer from Acquisition to the AM team, dynamic management of the storage and tracking of originals, notably in view of the data room preparation for the sale of the assets).

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Real Estate degree with strong record of academic achievement

  • 1 to 2 years‘ experience in a comparable position (e.g. Analyst Asset Management, Analyst Investment Management)

  • Fluent in German and English

  • Digital drive and strong analytic skills, diligent worker

  • Financial and commercial competences

  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills in German and English language

  • Adaptable team player with the ability to operate autonomously when needed in a high-pressure environment.

  • Willing to proactively engage and collaborate with colleagues cross-border i.e., in other countries and departments like Acquisitions, Fund Management, Finance, etc.

  • Excellent multi-tasking skills and ability to work on a variety of projects simultaneously.
