Junior Relationship Manager

Citywire is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Junior Relationship Manager to join our team in Munich, Germany. In this role, you will be instrumental in nurturing and expanding our relationships with professional investors. Your focus will be on engaging with key fund managers and selectors across the wealth management industry, including retail banks, private banks, asset managers, pension funds, and family offices within the Swiss market.

What you’ll be doing:

Your role will focus on cultivating and strengthening Citywire’s relationships with key fund selectors, portfolio managers, wealth managers, and other investors. As part of the Audience Development department, regarded as the engine room of market intelligence for our company, you will regularly engage with our target audience through print, online platforms, and numerous prestigious events.

Our multi-disciplined team contributes to various facets of the company, including editorial content (both broadcast and written), research projects informed by on-the-ground intelligence, and delegate recruitment for national and international events. Additionally, the team manages our internal database of registered users.

-Building Relationships: Engage with clients and investment professionals, gather insights and trends, and maintain regular contact through phone, email, Teams, Zoom, and in-person meetings.

-Events: Collaborate with our events team to match delegates and investors with the appropriate events. Attend events to network with clients, conduct interviews, and assist with various tasks.

-Editorial: Partner with clients to develop feature ideas, occasionally write features, and interview key financial experts both on and off camera.

-Research: Utilize insights from client meetings to identify potential research projects and areas of interest.

-Promotion: Advocate for Citywire's products, including events, publications, advertising, and research, to our clients.

-Knowledge Development: Enhance your understanding of your publication title through client meetings, staying updated with industry news, and collaborating with other business areas.

What we’re looking for:

-A Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent professional experience.

-Fluency in English, French, and German, both spoken and written.

-A proven self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative.

-Outstanding communication skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences.

-Flexibility and enthusiasm for extensive travel across Europe.

-Thrive under pressure and excel in meeting deadlines.

-Ideal for a creative individual who loves meeting new people and working within a team.

-Prior knowledge of financial markets and the financial community is a plus, but a keen willingness to learn about the financial industry, investment funds, and financial markets is essential.
