BYR is Hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician (Mechanical/Electrical) Near Murrysville, PA

Industrial Maintenance Technician

Responsible for the maintenance of machines and facility in a manner consistent with commonly accepted practices and company policy. Perform specified preventative maintenance on company equipment. Perform necessary housekeeping responsibilities consistent with good machining practices. Discharge all responsibilities and assignments in the most safe and efficient manner.

Maintaining the facility to provide a work environment needed to achieve conformity to product requirements consistent with company policy, and industry standards. This includes but is not limited to; RHVAC, power, lighting, and building maintenance.

  • Assure the proper disposal of hazardous material.
  • Perform job assignments to realize maximum utilization of labor, equipment, and facilities at minimum cost.
  • Ensure that all departmental equipment and facilities are protected and that scheduled maintenance and calibration is performed in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Requisition materials, parts, and supplies as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; college degree a plus.
  • Knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence and reports.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Must have completed a Vocational-Technical RHVAC certification or have equivalent experience in facility maintenance in a high precision machine shop and understand the effects of the shop environment on machine accuracy and product requirements.

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
