Job Summary:
As an Associate at Food Lion, you will play a crucial role in providing quality customer service within the grocery department. You will be responsible for maintaining standards, maximizing sales through exceptional customer service, and ensuring adherence to company guidelines and policies.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness by providing fast, friendly, and accurate customer service
- Clean shelves and shelf tag moldings while stocking saleable merchandise
- Ensure proper ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning, and displaying of merchandise
- Utilize company tools such as the average cost inventory system (ACIS) and ordering (CAO)
- Adhere to Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines
- Report any unsafe conditions promptly
- Wear the Food Lion uniform and maintain a neat appearance
- Complete required training courses
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical job requirements
- Problem-solving skills using technical information
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the position
- Must comply with local, state, and federal regulations

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to use computers and communication systems
- Lift products up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions
- Handle various cleaning and packaging materials
- Tolerate working in varying temperatures for short periods
