Job Title: Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Location: Florida or NYC

Overview:

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at MarcoPolo Learning, you will play a crucial role in driving our growth by identifying and nurturing new business opportunities. This position requires a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for education technology. The ideal candidate has experience in sales within the SaaS industry and is skilled in using sales tools and technologies to achieve targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research potential clients through various channels including LinkedIn, industry events, and other online resources.
  • Conduct outbound calls and emails to prospective clients to generate new leads.
  • Qualify leads and set up meetings or calls for the sales team.
  • Maintain and update CRM with accurate and detailed information on prospects.
  • Follow up on inbound leads in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with the sales team to develop strategies for targeting prospects.
  • Participate in sales meetings and provide updates on lead generation activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and the competitive landscape.
  • Assist in the development of outreach materials and campaigns.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for lead generation and appointments set.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a sales or lead generation role, preferably within the SaaS industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with potential clients.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Hubspot, Salesforce) and other sales tools.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
  • Knowledge of the ed-tech industry and early childhood education is a plus.

This is a US-based position. The salary range for this full-time position is $50,000 to $60,000 significant commission structure. The actual compensation offered will depend on work experience and skill level.
