Description
Job Summary:
The Expeditor will ensure production schedules, deadlines, and quotas are met by overseeing the flow of materials, components, and paperwork among departments; and by taking action to troubleshoot problems and fulfill rush orders.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Answering phone calls
- Generate status reports on an as needed basis
- Check customer portal(s) for updates and delivery dates
- Review production files for missed due dates
- Check with Receiving for new orders and production items
- Review grooving status, find the Shippers (paperwork) in order to move product to Move to Ship Status
- Preparing shipping documentation
- Provide tracking information to customers as needed
- Perform general clerical duties including but not limited to filing, photocopying, faxing, data entry, and mailing
- Perform any additional duties as needed
- Assist with special office projects as needed
Requirements
Requires Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education and Experience:
- 1-2 years general office experience or customer service
- High School diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
