Big Woods Pizza in Nashville, IN is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic bartender to join our dynamic team and contribute to creating an exceptional dining experience for our patrons. The ideal candidate possesses a strong knowledge of mixology, an outgoing personality, and exceptional customer service skills. As a bartender, you will play a pivotal role in crafting delicious cocktails, providing top-notch customer service, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere at our establishment.

Responsibilities:

    Mixology Expertise:

    • Prepare a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including beers, and specialty drinks, with precision and consistency.
    Customer Service:
    • Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, providing an exceptional first impression.
    • Engage with patrons to understand their preferences and make personalized drink recommendations.
    • Ensure timely and attentive service, addressing customer needs and inquiries professionally.
    Menu Knowledge:
    • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the restaurant's beverage menu, including ingredients, flavor profiles, and pairings.
    • Effectively communicate menu options and provide explanations to customers.
    Order Management:
    • Take accurate drink orders from customers, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
    • Manage multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining quality and efficiency.
    Beverage Preparation:
    • Follow standardized recipes and techniques to prepare drinks, maintaining the highest quality standards.
    • Garnish and present beverages with attention to detail, enhancing their visual appeal.
    Cleanliness and Maintenance:
    • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all utensils, glassware, and equipment are properly sanitized and stored.
    • Regularly clean and restock the bar, ensuring a seamless flow of service.
    Compliance:
    • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations related to alcohol service, including age verification and responsible serving practices.
    Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other team members, including servers, kitchen staff, and management, to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
    • Collaborate with the kitchen to coordinate food and drink orders for optimal pairing and timing.
    Upselling and Sales:
    • Skillfully recommend premium or specialty beverages to customers, increasing sales and enhancing the overall dining experience.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age.

  • Must have or have the ability to obtain an Alcohol Serving permit through the State of Indiana.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a positive and approachable demeanor.
  • Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and relevant legal regulations.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
