Seeking a Direct Support Professional for a Young Man on the Autism Spectrum
You can make a difference in the life of someone special! We are looking for
an engaging and creative staff (1:1 support) to work with a young man with a
Autism. In this critical role, you will provide direct support to
the person while completing tasks and activities such as assisting with
independent living skills, providing advocacy, and attending community
activities. The ideal candidate will have effective communication, be
compassionate, be patient, and must be reliable. Having a vehicle is a must
as you’ll be transporting the individual out into the community.
Hours: Up to 15 hours/week
Pay rate: Starting at $24/hour, additional $.67 per mile for transportation
reimbursement
Location: New Hartford, NY
Reliable transportation is required. Background check, fingerprinting, and
DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by non-profit agency.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
