Actalent is Hiring an Environmental Scientist Near New York, NY

Currently hiring- Environmental Scientist/ Phase I Site Assessor!!

Job Description

The Environmental Scientist will conduct field visits, inspections, and take photos as needed. The role involves spending 3 days online in office reporting, planning, managing, preparing, and overseeing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and other due diligence activities including both office and field tasks. In the field, the candidate will work independently or lead a team at exterior project sites such as industrial/brownfield facilities, monitoring wells, treatment systems, and construction projects. Responsibilities include performing site visits/inspections, sample collection, and oversight of subcontractors.

Hard Skills

  • 5 years doing Phase I site assessment
  • Ability to travel throughout NYC to project sites for inspections
  • Report writing
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Geology

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in New York, New York and some days remote.

Work Environment

Hybrid! 2-3 days in the office/ rare field visits and the others from home.
