The Role

The Associate Media Buyer functions as an assistant to the fast-paced Media Buying/Local Investment team. As an Associate, this role is to assist with and provide support on buy management, billing & projects on campaigns across TV, Radio and Streaming media channels. This is an entry level opportunity with great exposure to a career path in advertising and media buying.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to buying team and assigned buyers/media markets.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with media vendors.
• Develop a working knowledge of agency’s client’s goals, target demographics & guidelines/strategies.
• Training provided for media terms/language, buying system, media tools/research; must quickly learn and apply knowledge.
• Self-starter that can manage daily, weekly & monthly deadlines; must keep self and vendors on task requiring follow-ups for unresolved items to meet deadlines.
• Maintain buys from start to finish – ordering buy, maintaining buy (“makegoods”), completing monthly media invoicing & post buy analysis for assigned clients/media markets.
• Work with buyers to resolve any invoicing/billing discrepancies.
• Stay up to date with programming airing on Network TV, Cable as well as Sports.

• Must be a team player, eager to collaborate and assist all Investment team members.
• Dedicated, hard worker with self-starter mentality; this position requires someone who can take initiative and multitask on several projects and deadlines happening at once; need to be flexible and adaptable as projects/deadlines are always changing. Overtime may be required around deadlines/projects.
• Must be extremely detail oriented as daily responsibilities revolve around numbers – such as monthly invoicing, monitoring media budgets & demographic impression #s.
• Proficient on computer/computer programs such as Outlook, Teams, Excel and Power Point
• Be able to quickly learn media buying program and apply media terms/definitions and language.
• Possess strong communication skills and be able to communicate professionally, whether it’s in-person vendor meetings, phone/video calls or emails.
• College graduate preferred, will consider graduate of two-year junior college.

Yearly Compensation - $47,000

Salary and Benefits

Actual base salary is determined upon factors such as experience, qualifications, training, certifications, and internal equity. The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Base salary is part of a total rewards package that includes highly competitive benefits like generous medical, dental, vision, pet insurance, commuter benefits, disability and life insurance coverage, 401(k) matching, up to 14 holidays per year, a “Do Good Day,” and unlimited PTO.
