Our commitment to diversity and inclusion is demonstrated through our various recruitment efforts, employee programs, charitable and JOB SUMMARY ClearBridge Investments is seeking an Equity Trader to join the team out of our New York City headquarters. This individual will be responsible for the trading duties outlined below including IPO's and Secondary offerings. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Make independent decisions related to the trades, the selection of brokers and the timing and manner of trade order placement. Analyze market sentiment, trading environment, trading volume, and price volatility in order to provide analysis and recommendations to Portfolio Managers and Analysts. Analyze investment holdings, projected cash flows, and capital market expectations to support investment policy and portfolio optimization. Develop and maintain strong internal relationships with Portfolio Managers, Research Analysts and other Traders. Develop and maintain strong external relationships with securities dealers. Execute equity securities purchases and sales as well as maintains daily and intra-day order management systems. Implement established protocols and policy guidelines necessary to maintain standardized record keeping practices. Emphasizes maintenance of books and records in compliance with evolving legal, SRO, and governmental regulation. Document specific portfolio restrictions, funds received or disbursed client communications, and updates contemporaneous client files. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree; finance /accounting a plus. 4-8 years of experience in equity trading, including high touch, algorithmic, and program trading. Proven experience in ECM (IPOs, Secondaries, TTWs), collaborating effectively with Portfolio Managers, Analysts, Compliance Officers, and Trade Support. Well-established relationships with ECM sell-side firms, particularly bulge bracket firms. Familiarity with a wide range of concepts, practices, and procedures in financial services. Proficiency in using Bloomberg and various order management systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Comprehensive understanding of equity markets. Experience in equity/index options and international trading is a plus. Excellent analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. Capacity to manage multiple tasks, organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, demanding environment. The salary range for this position is targeted for $140,000 to $160,000 plus discretionary bonus. Base pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.
