The Medical /Clinical Science Liaison (MSL/CSL) is an integral member of the Medical Affairs organization and field medical team. The MSL/CSL will assist in building the foundation for field medical capabilities and provide scientific/medical information to healthcare providers in response to inquiries regarding the Rain Oncology clinical development programs.
In addition, the MSL/CSL is responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with investigators, healthcare providers, and patient organizations to support trial enrollment, provide program, and protocol training and ensure that healthcare professionals have the most up to date information as the Rain Oncology clinical development programs mature.

Key Responsibilities
Identify, establish, and maintain credible relationships with clinical investigators, key opinion leaders, healthcare providers and relevant patient organizations in the oncology communities in which Rain Oncology has interest
Utilize disease state, treatment landscape and investigational product knowledge to provide fair balanced, and unbiased scientific/medical/clinical information to support healthcare professionals
Timely collection and communication of clinical insights and competitive intelligence to inform the overall strategy
Identify, initiate, coordinate, and monitor investigator sponsored trials that support the strategy of Rain Oncology
Lead interactions with healthcare providers on medical affairs initiatives including publications, advisory boards, medical education opportunities, training, and speaker development
Deliver clinical and scientific presentations to payor and managed market groups
Facilitate cross functional partnerships in support of research activities, including clinical trials, registries, ISTs, and/or RWE
Scientific, medical and clinical education support for internal stakeholders
Development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures for the field medical team
Creation, implementation, and execution of field medical strategies
Assist in the creation of the collection process, implementation and dissemination of field insights across the organization
Represent and coordinate field medical support at relevant conferences and congresses
Maintain clinical and scientific expertise in relevant disease states in which Rain Oncology has interest
Organize and lead productive meetings. Including but not limited to, meeting logistics, preparing agendas, providing facilitation, documenting meeting outcomes, follow-up, and implementation of action plans
Foster an inclusive, positive, and thriving culture within medical affairs and broader Rain Oncology team
Comply with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Rain Oncology and its employees
Education and Experience
Advanced degree preferred (NP, PharmD, PhD, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, nursing, pharmacy, or other medical related discipline, required
Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Affairs or Medical Science role
Prior clinical oncology experience preferred
Experience in a start-up environment preferred
Candidates must have established networks and active relationships with healthcare providers in the oncology community
Experience with regulatory guidance and reporting requirements
Working Conditions
Up to 60% domestic and international travel
Required travel to conferences, events, team meetings, etc. (will require some weekends)
Entry to hospitals and other medical facilities is required. Many facilities have instituted vendor credentialing policies which require vendors to meet defined training, background check, and proof of immunization requirements as a condition of entry. Rain Oncology employees entering these facilities are required to abide by these credentialing requirements
The pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position is $170,000- $230,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on objective considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. An annual cash bonus and equity grants may be provided as part of the overall compensation package, in addition to a full range of financial, health and wellness benefits, dependent on the position offered.
