Our client in Newport, DE is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join their team. This is a temp to hire position and offers $27 / hr.
Shifts available :
Monday-Thursday 3pm-1 : 30am (with shift differential)
Monday-Friday 7am-3 : 30pm
Essential Duties :
- Program jobs, using MasterCam 2024 or G / M codes, to create parts to customer specifications
- Set up and operate a variety of machining equipment, such as lathes, mills, CNC machines, to produce parts according to engineering drawings and specifications
- Analyze work orders, blueprints, and engineering plans to determine the machining process, tooling, and materials required for each project
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of machines and tools, performing routine checks and adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy and efficiency
- Conduct thorough inspections of finished parts, using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, and make necessary corrections to meet quality standards
- Follow established safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure a safe and efficient workspace
Skills and Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining is a plus
- Proven experience as a Machinist, demonstrating proficiency in operating various machining equipment and knowledge of CNC programming (MasterCam a bonus) and operation
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate production
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift, carry, and move heavy packages or medical equipment as needed
