U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command is Hiring a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER. Near Newport, VA
- Manage systems involving a wide range of engineering and scientific specialty areas, rapidly advancing technology and critical areas of development beyond the current state of the art, as well as critical non-developmental programs.
- Full responsibility for intensive management of the overall program and providing leadership.
- Maintains continuous cognizance of all aspects of assigned projects.
- Establishes priorities, maintains and controls all project milestones, and takes action to ensure that all milestones are met or that workarounds are in place to counteract schedule and resource problems.
- Coordinates with subordinate team leaders, supervisors, group/committee chairs and other team members to oversee and direct all efforts.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Commensurate with mission requirements, the incumbent can be required to work irregular duty hours to include working nights, weekends, and holidays.
- This position requires occasional TDY travel up to 25% of the time.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
- Position requires a Top-Secret clearance requiring drug testing.
- This is a supervisory position. A one-year supervisory probationary period is required.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Program Management Certification within 48 months of entrance on duty.

Specialized Experience: One-year specialized experience which includes: 1) Managing the development, integration, testing and airworthiness qualification of aircraft systems and testing of Software (SW) systems or SW applications to ensure they are meeting operational requirements; 2) Collaborating with operational customers from various government agencies to assure the accomplishment of program goals and objectives; and 3) Overseeing the development of material solutions for assigned systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
This typically includes work performed at the next lower grade/level (NH-03/GS-13) position in the federal service.

- This is a pay banded position. The NH-04 encompasses grades 14 and 15 on the General Schedule. Some positions may have control points.
