Job Title : Temporary Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Days

Position Summary : The client is seeking a highly skilled and certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team on a temporary basis during day shifts.

The ideal candidate will provide essential clinical and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our medical facility.

Job Duties and Responsibilities :

Clinical Support :

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the physician.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, and perform basic laboratory tests.
• Record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, height, and weight.
• Prepare examination rooms by ensuring they are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies and instruments.

Patient Interaction :

• Welcome and escort patients to examination rooms.
• Educate patients on treatment procedures, medications, and physician instructions.
• Address patient inquiries and concerns, providing information and assistance as required.

Administrative Duties :

• Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Process insurance forms and manage billing procedures.
• Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing emails, and performing data entry.

General Responsibilities :

• Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
• Assist with the coordination of patient care among healthcare providers, specialists, and external organizations.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities to maintain certification and enhance skills.

Qualifications : Certification :

Certification :

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from an accredited program.

Experience :

Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred.

Skills :

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and relevant healthcare regulations.
