Project Accountant Description
Our client in the construction and building industry is looking for a Project Accountant to add to their team in Norcross, GA. Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for reconciliations, payroll processing, and final client billing. Our client is looking for someone who has initiative and works to get things done effectively and efficiently. The invoices can be very long, so attention to detail is paramount. To be successful in the role, you must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, enjoy learning and updating processes, and be able to work with other team members for prompt invoicing. This is a great opportunity to join a stable company and grow in your accounting career.
Project Accountant Responsibilities
• Audit company payroll weekly
• Reconcile the General Ledger weekly
• Ensure PTO requests are properly coded
• Process weekly expense reports
• Reconcile bank and cash accounts
• Assist in month and year-end reconciliations
• Maintain approvals of purchase orders
• Ensure service billings are complete and sent on time
• Work cross-functionally with other team leads to ensure all costs are process
• Double-check final invoices to avoid errors
• Assist in auditing other accounts
• Maintain meticulous records
Project Accountant Qualifications
• Associate Degree required
• 3 years of Project Accounting experience required
• Experience with Sage 100/ other Accounting Software required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required
