The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in purchasing within a manufacturing environment, with specific experience in compliance with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARs) and understanding of supplier flow downs.

Job Responsibilities

•Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials.
•Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities in meeting company requirements.
•Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers while ensuring compliance with DFARs and supplier flow downs.
•Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet production schedules and objectives.
•Collaborate with the manufacturing and engineering teams to understand material requirements and specifications.
•Implement and maintain purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
•Resolve issues related to the supply chain, including supplier performance and invoice discrepancies.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
•Minimum of three years of purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment .
•Demonstrated understanding of DFARs and supplier flow down requirements.
•Proven track record of negotiating contracts and improving supply chain efficiencies.
•Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective supplier management.
•Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field is preferred.
